<p><strong>Background.</strong> Agaves are an important economic source in industrial products, the food and pharmaceutical industry, steroidal animal feed, ornamental plants as a material for biofuels. Despite their importance, some species present problems conventional propagation, which makes reproduction difficult has caused to be risk category. Therefore, there is need develop efficient protocols <em>in vitro</em> micropropagation via somatic embryogenesis. The positive effect of application exogenous putrescine on maturation germination embryos known. <strong>Objective</strong>. To determine <em>A. cupreata</em> angustifolia</em>.<strong> Methodology</strong>. Two concentrations (100 150 mg/L) two controls, one negative, were evaluated embryo medium later embryos. <strong>Results</strong>. Putrescine favors both species. <strong>Implications</strong>. results this research contribute better understanding process embryogenesis open possibility applying at commercial level. <strong>Conclusion</strong>. Exogenous culture significantly improves <em>Agave</em>.</p>
